How to Play Points Rummy
Points Rummy is played by 2 to 6 players using one or two standard decks of cards with one printed Joker per deck.
RummyBefore we explain the play, it is important to understand the objective of the game. Every player aims to arrange 13 cards in sequences, or sequences and sets, and make a valid declaration. A valid declaration must have at least two sequences, out of which at least one must be a pure sequence, and all the cards should be arranged in sequences or sets. After arranging your cards, you can declare your hand by discarding the 14th card to the “Finish Slot.” If your declaration is valid, you will be the winner of the game.
Play: At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt 13 cards. The remaining cards form the closed deck and the first card from the closed deck is placed face up on the table to form the open deck. A random card is selected as the wild Joker and all the cards of that value become wild Jokers. When the game begins, a player has to draw from the closed deck or the open deck and then discard a card to the open deck. Players get turns in a clockwise direction.

How is Score Calculated in Points Rummy
In Points Rummy, the cards from the highest to the lowest are as follows:
A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2
Face cards and aces are worth 10 points each. The numbered cards are worth their face values. The Joker is worth zero points.
The Winner’s Score: The player who makes a valid declaration first is the winner and gets zero points. The winnings are calculated by using the following formula: Winnings = (Sum of points of all opponents) X (Rupee value of the point) – JungleeRummy Fee
Let us understand how winnings are calculated for the winner:
Suppose 4 players are playing a Re. 1/point game. Player 1 declares his cards and the other players lose by 20, 10 and 40 points. The winner will get = 1x (20+10+40) = 70 rupees, which will be credited to the winner’s account after deducting a very small Junglee Rummy fee.
Losing Players’ Score:Rummy The losing players get penalty points for every ungrouped card. For example, if a player has the 6 of Hearts, the 10 of Spades, and the Ace of Clubs that are not a part of any sequence/set, then he/she will get 6+10+10=26 points as a penalty. However, there are two exceptions:
If a player does not have a pure sequence, then all the points of all the cards will be added up for the penalty.
RummyIf a player has a pure sequence, only the points of unarranged cards will be added up for the penalty.
Maximum Points: In Points Rummy, the maximum points a player can get is 80. So even if your unarranged cards add up to 90, you will get 80 points only.
